Obituary

Dorothy Lucille Loomis, age 79, of Weidman passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019 in Mt. Pleasant. She was the daughter of Floyd L. and Josephine L. (Fountain) Bailey. Dorothy was born the night of September 8, 1939 but it was registered on the 9th. She was born, raised and attended school, where she learned to play the clarinet, in Remus. Dorothy married Virgil Loomis and they made their home and raised eight beautiful children. She was happiest surrounded by family & friends and going to church on Sunday. When she was younger loved going on long country drives with her husband and camping and fishing with the children. She used to love taking the grandchildren to watch her son and grandson race until it was too difficult to drive. They will all treasure those memories. In recent years she looked forward to trips to the casino and building a beautiful farm on Facebooks Farmville. Dorothys door was always open and words of wisdom given. She attended the Pentecostals of Mt. Pleasant where she gained a wonderful and supportive church family.
