Dorothy A. Hall, age 83 of Big Rapids, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017. She was born March 27, 1934 in Muskegon, the daughter of Elton and Alda (Milner) Ashburn. Dorothy married James Davis and together they moved to Hesperia where they raised their three children. James passed away in 1971. Dorothy married Lewis Hall in 1974. After Lewis passed away in 1994, she moved back to Muskegon to be close to family. In 2015, she moved to Big Rapids to be cared for by her daughter, Diane Maguire. Dorothy enjoyed reading and arts and crafts; painting, coloring books for adults, and puzzles. She also liked to ride snowmobiles in her younger years. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Dorene Campos of Kihei, Hawaii and Diane Maguire of Big Rapids, Michigan; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kelly Davis; two brothers, Elton and Walter Ashburn; and sister, Marion Nelson.
