Doris N. Lidell age 84 of Big Rapids, is now in glory with her Lord and Savior. She passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017. She was born December 4, 1932 to Oscar and Mildred (Swanson) Lidell. Doris was born and raised on the family farm in Colfax Township; she lived there her entire life. She graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1951 and was employed at Ferris State University for over 30 years as a book buyer for the Campus Bookstore. Doris was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Big Rapids. She is survived by her sister, Jean and her husband Bruce Parsons of Rockford; a nephew, Mark (Linda) Parsons; two nieces, Christina (Jim) Inwood, Cynthia (Mike) Swistak; three great-nieces and a great-nephew. A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 726 Fuller Ave., Big Rapids with Pastor Peggy A. Rose officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services. In remembrance of Doris the family wishes memorial contributions be made to either Hospice of Michigan or the Immanuel Lutheran Church both of Big Rapids.
