Donald K. Lucha, age 63 of Big Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. He was born on July 20, 1960 to Edward and Edna (Bartley) Lucha. Donald was raised in Reed City and grew up on the farm where he learned to train horses and raise livestock. He graduated from Reed City Highschool in 1978 and went on to obtain his Bachelors degree as a Mechanic. Donald was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Morley. Donald was a handyman who some would say could "turn a wrench with his pinky." When he wasnt fixing things, Donald loved to drive his Camaro in his free time as well as grilling up good food for his family. Donald was a loving father and grandfather. He could be stubborn and bullheaded but underneath the surface was a strong heart, and family man. He left his imprint on every person and place he met, and his compassion will not be forgotten. Donald is survived by his four children, Samantha (Andrew) Clinkscale, Kenneth Durga, Jessica Lucha, and Kristin (Austin) Lucha all of Big Rapids; siblings, Edward Lucha of Cadillac and Jeff Lucha of Reed City; 15 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and brother George Lucha. Arrangements and care have been entrusted to Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
