Donald L. Jack Sr., age 89, a lifelong resident of Morley passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at his home. He was born August 29, 1931 at home in Morley the son of Clarence and Edith (Kamen) Jack.
Don graduated from Morley High School in 1949. He was drafted into the United States Army and served during the Korean War. Don was honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1954 and soon after met the love of his life, Lorene Swanger. They were married on July 15, 1955 and made their home in the Morley area. Don spent his working career on the pipeline and was a member of the Pipelines Local Union #798 until his retirement.
He was a member of the Morley American Legion #554. Don enjoyed gardening, hunting and especially fishing. He fished 12 months a year, any place he could and for anything that would take the bait.
He is survived by his five children; Larry Jack of Morley, Donald Jack Jr. of Croton, Leonard (Carol) Jack of Morley, Cheryl (Alan) Gordon of Paris, Michael (Effie) Jack of Morley; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Arlene DePorter of Morley; many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lorene in 2003; two sisters, Joyce Peacock and Charlotte Jack; two brothers, Robert and Wayne Jack and a granddaughter, Alissa Allers.
Graveside services will take place 11:00 a.m. April 2, 2021 at the Aetna Township Cemetery in Morley with Military Honors under the auspices of American Legion Post #554 in Morley.
Memorial contributions in Dons name may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
