Donald L. "Donnie" Weeks, a lifelong resident of Morley, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the age of 67. He was born in Lakeview on December 18, 1954, the son of Donald E. and Beverly (Beemer) Weeks. Donnie was a 1973 graduate of Morley Stanwood High School. He married Carol Dodd on July 9, 1983 in Evart and together they raised their family in Morley. Donnie was a man of many talents. He was employed by Gibson as a welder, assisted with Carol at Weeks AFC Home, and was a finisher in the concrete industry with Radle Construction. Donnie enjoyed being outside; fishing and riding motorcycles. He looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Donnie is survived by his two children, Tabetha and Travis Weeks; his mother, Beverly Weeks who he helped care for; three grandchildren, Anyia Ray Sanford, Sinder Edwards, and Bailee Jackson; four siblings, Diane (Jim Robinson) Thomas, Duane (Jamie) Weeks, Darrell Weeks, and Dana (Shawn Scaggs) Myers; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol on October 24, 2020, daughter Shelbie Weeks, and father Donald E. Weeks. Funeral Services will take place 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 25th at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home.
