Donald S. DeLellis, age 63 of Big Rapids passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2024. Don was born on April 19, 1961 to Sylvester and Mary (Cedroni) DeLellis. He graduated in 1979 from Cousino High School in Warren, Michigan and later became an auto body technician and worked construction for many years. Donald met his wife Dorene Schendel when he went to fix her shower; love at first sight is the only way to describe it, and from that moment on they were inseparable. Donald was a handyman with a kind heart and would always lend a helping hand to fix anything that was broken for his family, friends, and strangers alike. Don was a diehard fan of the Detroit Lions, even when they did terrible, he was always there cheering his team on. He enjoyed going out on his boat to fish, playing Call of Duty with his son-in-law, and playing guitar. Don carried his happy spirit with him wherever he went and you could always find him singing and making others smile. Dons greatest joys in life included his grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Pa". He worshiped them and they in turn worshiped him. Don will be so dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, including his loyal Great Dane Abbey. Donald is survived by his loving wife Dorene; two children, Jamee (Bill) Kuehne and Jeremy Stallsmith; parents Sylvester and Mary DeLellis of Clinton Township; four siblings, Louis (Kim) DeLellis, Diane (Roger) Bright, Darlene (Chas) Walls, and Dave DeLellis; two grandchildren, Ava and Liam Kuehne; and many nieces and nephews.
