Donald "Buzz" Bezucha, 91, formerly of Canadian Lakes, MI and Sterling IL, passed away on Friday August 29th at his home in Rosebush, Michigan, (4210 E. Rosebush Rd, Rosebush, MI 48875). He was born April 11, 1917 in Hillsboro, WI to Joseph and Mary Bezucha. Buzz lived in the Sterling, IL area for over 30 years where he worked as a safety director for Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. He graduated from University of WI, Madison with a degree in anthropology, served in the Air Force during both World War II and the Korean Conflict, and worked many years as an executive for the Boy Scouts of America. After retiring from Northwestern Steel and Wire, he moved to Canadian Lakes, MI in 1990. Buzz is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marvene (Siefer), formerly of Bremen, IN, his son, Martin Bezucha of Custer, SD, his daughter, Mary Anne (Gordon) Henry of Canadian Lakes, MI, 3 granddaughters several nieces and nephews and a brother, Rulo (Barbara) Siefer, Bremen, IN. Buzz was best known for his love of art, music and nature. He was an accomplished painter and sculptor, loved bird watching, and was happiest at his "place in the woods." He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home, 13985 Northland Drive, Big Rapids, MI at 11 am, Thursday September 11, 2008.
