Dolly May Gibbons, age 7l, of Rodney passed away Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids. She was born November 16, 1934 in Osceola County to June (Dow) and Henry Waite. She married Leroy Gibbons on June 8, 1963 in Big Rapids and together they have lived in Mecosta County most of their married lives. She had worked at MOARC in Big Rapids for several years. Dolly was a very devoted and faithful member of the Big Rapids Church of the Nazarene. She was a charter member of the church and belonged for over forty years. Dolly loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed playing cards, family reunions and bidding on auction items. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Leroy Gibbons of Rodney. Two daughters: Patricia Ann Gibbons and Roxanne "Kim" Gibbons both of Rodney Two sisters: Ethel Hatton of Mecosta Lila (Robert) Stanley of Canadian Lakes Five brothers: Henry Waite and Lyle (Alice) Waite all of Sand Lake, Earl (Carmon) Waite and Dan Waite all of Mecosta Floyd (Pat) Waite of Cedar Springs Sister-in-law: Barb Waite of Grand Rapids And several nieces and nephews Dolly was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Stanley Waite. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 30th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Harold Gilkerson officiating. Burial will be at East Fork Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29th.
