Diann Janette Wassenaar, of Barryton, passed away on February 27, 2026. She was born on January 7, 1951 in Weidman to Harvey and Neita (Frantz) Blackmer.

In 1969, Diann graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in Remus. Throughout her life, Diann enjoyed caring for plants and tending to her garden. She was also very crafty and skilled in crochet.

Diann is survived by her mother: Neita Blackmer; two sons: Mike Wassenaar and Dennie (Kim) Wassenaar, grandchildren: Aaron, Anna, Aiden, and Alex; step-grandchildren: John, Ajay, and Patrick; 13 step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-grandchild; sisters: Karen (Duane) Coville, Lois (Russ) Mann, and Lorraine (Mark) Heffner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father: Harvey Blackmer; and sister: Geaneen (Lynn) Olger.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Daggett Gilbert Funeral Homes. Services will be held at a later date.
