IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dennis
Thenikl
October 30, 1954 – June 27, 2025
Dennis Thenikl, 70, of Morley, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, with his family by his side.
He was born on October 30, 1954, in Fremont, the son of Henry and Nellie (Brown) Thenikl. Dennis worked as a Die Maker for Auto Die in Grand Rapids for over 30 years, where he formed many lifelong friendships and earned respect for his dedication and craftsmanship.
A true car enthusiast, Dennis had a deep love for muscle cars—driving them, working on them, and proudly showing them off. He took great pride in his vehicles and wasn't shy about flaunting the work he poured into them.
For the past 30 years, Dennis shared his life with his beloved partner, Karen Haack. Together they created countless memories, enjoying travel and spending time with their family and friends. Some of Dennis' favorite pastimes included trips to Drummond Island, kayaking, and snowmobiling.
Left to cherish his memory are his life partner: Karen Haack; his children: Melissa Myszak (Brian Maxim) and Anthony Thenikl; grandchildren: Shaelynn, Elijah, Zander, Gracie, Jadon, and Kaylee. He is also remembered by his "bonus kids": Monica (Roger) Lintemuth, Edward Haack Jr., and Jeannie Haack; bonus grandchildren: Brett, Tyler, Sawyer, Justice, Lilly, and Natalie; and bonus great-grandchildren: Weston, Sophia, and Layla.
Dennis is survived by his siblings: Marlene (Dan) Brooks, Larry (Wanda) Thenikl, Rose Bazinau, Bill (Barb) Thenikl, and Kathy (Don) Vanderwall; sister-in-law: Lorraine Thenikl; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son: Dennis Jr.; and his brother: Sonny Thenikl.
