Dennis K. Schrom, age 62 of Big Rapids died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Altercare of Big Rapids. He was born January 31, 1959 in Sharon, Connecticut, the son of Virgil and Bernice (Haner) Schrom. Dennis was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and care for his pets. He was an excellent storyteller and a big jokester. Many knew Dennis by his nickname, "Dink." Most of all, Dennis cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. He is survived by special friend, Kay Schrom of Big Rapids; daughters, Jessica Schrom of Big Rapids, Kendra Schrom of Big Rapids; brother, Vernon Schrom of Pine Plains, NY; sister, June Stoner of Hillsdale; sisters-in-law, Lynn Schrom of Hillsdale, Tracy Schrom of Pioneer, OH; grandchildren, Breana, Tegan, Leroy, Paisley; many nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Butch and Chuck Schrom.
