Dennis A. Mall, age 50 of Stanwood passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021. He was born December 20, 1970 in Detroit. Dennis graduated from Roseville High School where his interest in drama, music and cooking developed. Dennis began his working career as a chef in high end restaurants in the Detroit Metropolitan area including the Barristers Gardens, Lochmoor Country Club and the Detroit Hunt Club. He loved to sing and play the drums, especially with his brothers and his children. He established his own catering business, specializing in sculptured fruit trays that showcased his artistic abilities. Dennis family was the most important part of his life and he loved them dearly. Dennis always remembered family birthdays and made regular phone calls to check on everyone. Dennis is survived by his three beloved children; Cameron Mall, Collin Mall, Cara Mall all of Eastpointe; his mother, Sherry and step-father John D. Kaurich of Stanwood; father, Richard Mall of Fraser; grandmother, Joyce Kaurich of Warren; sister, Stacey (Michael) Whipple of Stanwood; brothers, Richard (Rachele) Mall of St. Clair Shores, David (Megan) Kaurich of Stanwood; 5 nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins, and the mother of his children, Michelle Thatcher. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Josephine Mall, Evelyn Kerzmien and Lloyd Hupert, step-grandfather John J. Kaurich, and a niece, Cynthia Jane Whipple. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions in Dennis name may be made to the Humane Society, a charity he faithfully supported.
