Obituary

Dennis E. Johnson, age 56 of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 31, 2016. He was born August 18, 1960 in Lakeview the son of Kenneth and Janice (Arndt) Johnson. Dennis grew up in Morley and graduated from Morley Stanwood High School. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing games with his kids, and watching sports, especially the University of Michigan. Dennis is survived by his five children, Jeffrey Johnson of Lansing, Stephanie (John) Snodgrass of Indianapolis, IN, Joshua Johnson, Jesse Johnson, and Samantha Johnson all of Lansing; his parents, Kenneth and Janice Johnson of Stanwood; three sisters, Colleen Johnson of Grand Rapids, Patricia (Bill) Lee of Morley, Michelle (Guy) Mack of Grand Rapids; many nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin Johnson and Randy "Mike" Johnson. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5th at the Crossroads Worship Center, 9530 Federal Road, Howard City, with Pastor Brad Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at the Aetna Township Cemetery in Morley. The family will greet friends on Friday, November 4th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids and a half hour prior to services at the Church on Saturday, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions in Dennis name may be given to his family.
