Dennis C. Becker, age 65 of Evart, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014. He was born on September 29, 1948 in Ensley Center, MI, the son of Robert and Blythe (Manbeck) Becker. Denny was honorably discharged from the United States Army following 6 years of service. When able he looked forward to motorcycle rides, boating, camping, hunting and fishing. Denny was the manager of Parklane Apts. in Big Rapids, for ten years, until his health began to decline in 2001. Denny is survived by the family he loved to spend time with. His wife Patricia whom he married on March 27, 1993; four children, Brenton (Poppy) Hudson of Grand Rapids, Harold Hudson of Big Rapids, Brent Knight of Ohio, Dawn Ambs of Ypsilanti; 7 grandchildren, whom he adored; a sister, Janice (Gene) Eaton; one brother, James (Deb) Becker; mother and father-in-law, MaryJane (Walter) Draper; in-laws; Valerie Becker, Allan (Joyce) Draper, Pam (Dean) Smith, Beverly (Dan) Parkinson, Barbara (Chuck) Arthurhultz and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bob and Jack and a grandson Zachary Hudson. The family will greet friends for a luncheon at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at James Becker's home (his brother) 11194 Riverside Dr., Stanwood. A graveside service is being planned for a later date at New Grant Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Patricia Becker.
