Dennis "Denny" Baumann, age 74 of Big Rapids, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 2, 1949 in Milwaukee, the son of Harold and Elenore (Klief) Baumann. After graduating high school, Denny enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. He was honorably discharged three years later in 1970. Denny enjoyed tinkering and small engine repair. He loved to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing, and tending to his flower garden. Denny also enjoyed trap shooting with his best friend Gordy. He will be missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his son Ben (Tanya) Baumann of Reed City; grandchildren, Seth Woodbury, Brandi Baumann; great-grandson, Benjamin Baumann; siblings, Chuck (Sandy) Farmer, Susan (John); step-son, Ronnie Mazza; and niece, Rebecca. Denny was preceded in death by his parents; and beloved wife, Sharon. Memorial contributions may be made in Dennys name to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
