Denis "Denny" Burkett, age 66, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at his home in Grand Rapids. He was born March 21, 1958 in Big Rapids, the son of Charles and Florence (Peterson) Burkett. Denny had a passion for painting different landscapes, writing, and was an avid reader. Denny is survived by his son, Dennis Burkett II; parents, Charles (Aloha) Burkett, and Florence Gray; siblings, Virginia Hapner, Marilyn (Jim) Buzard, Anthony Burkett, Christopher Burkett; and few nieces and nephews.
