Deborah S. "Deb" Dennis, age 66, died Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at her home in Mecosta. She was born November 15, 1957 in Clare, the daughter of William and Barbara (Daniels) Dennis. Deb had a passion and love for animals throughout her whole life. She raised many animals and nurtured wildlife back to full health. She enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, and going on adventures. Deb could tinker with anything. She would always joke that she was a "jack of all trades and a master of none." Deb was an incredible writer of poems, short stories, and novels. She was imaginative, humorous and a wonderful storyteller that could capture the attention of everyone. Deb will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her siblings, Bill Dennis II of New Mexico, James (Theresa Maxon Ven Vels) of Tennessee, Donald (Carol) of Kansas, Pamela "Penny" Cour of Mecosta; 13 nieces and nephews; special friend, Brent Buchholz; cherished dog, Mike and cats, Spanky and Heidi. Deb was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Dennis. A celebration of life will be held 4:30 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2024 at the Mecosta VFW Post 2335, 1050 W.
