Debora J. Jehnzen, age 67 of Rodney, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023. She was born August 28, 1956 in Sebewa, MI the daughter of Charles and Lucille (Johnson) Curtiss. Debora grew up in Sebewa and moved to the Rodney area in 1990 marrying Louis Jehnzen in June of that year. Debora was an outdoor person, she and Louie enjoyed camping and fishing. She loved her flowers and gardening. Debora canned for her family and friends; she was a talented crafter as well as a gifted seamstress. Debora is survived by; three children, Mark (Lisa) McKinch of Rogers Heights, Matt (Jamie) McKinch of Rodney, Carrie (Damien) Davy of Big Rapids; four step-children, Wayne (Peggy) Jehnzen, Eric Jehnzen, Leonard Jehnzen all of Rodney, Robin (Marc) Smith of Baldwin; three brothers, Brian Curtiss of Lowell, Bruce (Carol) Curtiss of Portland, Larry (Katie) Curtiss of Charlotte; four sisters, Denise Curtiss of Portland, Pam (Marty) Stinke of Gladwin, Brenda (Scott) Drake of Grand Rapids, Judy Master of Oregon; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Debora was preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis Jehnzen in 2016, brother David Curtiss, step-daughter Cindy Boone, brother-in-law Garland Master, nephew Darrell Garrett and her mother-in-law Luella Jehnzen. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Reverend Jeremy Wicks officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services beginning 12:00 p.m. noon. Debora will be laid to rest at the Martiny Township Cemetery near Rodney.
