Dawn L. Freiburger, age 68 of Morley, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born June 15, 1946 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Marian Jacht. Dawn attended school in Sparta. She married Arthur Freiburger on April 9, 1982 in Sparta and together they lived in the Grand Rapids area before the moved to Morley in 1987. Dawn was a cook for various local restaurants. She had spectacular gardens; whether it was vegetable or flowers. Dawn also enjoyed crocheting. She loved spending time with her family and hosting dinners. Dawn was a caring, selfless, outgoing person. She is going to be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Freiburger of Morley; two children, Kimberly VanHeitsma of Grand Rapids and Justin (Jenifer) Freiburger of Morley; two step-daughters, Dawn (Randy) Hackney of Kentucky and Tammy (Kevin) Freiburger-MacShara of White Lake; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Terry Jacht of Rockford; and brother-in-law, Andy Boutler of Gobles. Dawn was preceded in death by her mother and sister, Laurel Boutler. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
