David Henry Harper, age 64 of Barryton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 27, 2019 at his home. He was born on July 24, 1954 in Edmore, MI, the son of Lewis and Ruth (Daily) Harper. Dave was raised in the Barryton area and attended Barryton Rural Agricultural High School.
Masonry work was Daves passion and he loved admiring a finished product. Dave looked forward to the spring time so he could plant a garden. He was an avid fisherman and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He looked forward to family time and was kindhearted.
Dave is survived by his son, Jodie (Jill) Harper of Saranac; his daughter, Angelina Flowers of Saranac; five grandchildren, Keagon Flowers, Kora Flowers, Kristina Harper, Kodie Harper and Kole Harper; six siblings, Larry Cook of Barryton, Beverly Belden of Reed City, Harold (Sharon) Cook, Danny (Patty) Cook, Lewis "Doug" Harper and Janie Roe all of Barryton; many aunts, uncles, extended family and close friends.
Dave was preceded in death by: his father, Lewis Harper; his mom, Ruth Ann Hubble; son-in-law, Douglas Flowers; wives, Shiela Harper and Carol Steggerda and two sisters, Connie Oridway and Sharon Anderson.
A life celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Barryton Church of God. In lieu of flowers, donations in Daves name are requested to the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton.
