David Fountain, age 68 of Stanwood, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 14, 2021. He was born in Big Rapids on May 8, 1952, the son of David and Anna (Waskiewicz) Fountain. David was an avid hunter and fisherman in his youth. He was extremely proud of his backhoe. David was a great inventor and could fix just about anything. He was a modern-day MacGyver. One of the most important traits he passed down to all of his children was a great work ethic. David is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Marsha; children, Holly Paul, Aaron (Tina) Paul, Jimmy Fountain, Stevie (Dawn) Paul, Heather Fountain, Nik (Becky) Degraaf, Travis Fountain, Ashlie (Juan Garcia) Fountain; his mother, Anna; brother, Ricky Fountain; sisters, Chris Vodrey, Cheryl Milholin, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
