Darlene R. Baker, age 58, of Barryton passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008 with loved ones at her side. She was born July 27, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan to William and Edna (Carlton) Bauer Jr. Darlene was raised in Saginaw then moved to Rodney in 1979 she moved back to Saginaw in 1990. At Christmas time in 2004 she came to Barryton to live with her daughter Kayleen who was her primary caregiver. Darlene enjoyed writing poems, painting, crocheting, video games, motorcycles and bike rides, velvet art, painting sun catchers and her favorite actor Stephen Segal. Darlene is survived by three daughters: Melissa "Missie" (Anthony "John" ) Lucas of Charlevoix Kayleen (John) Luckhardt of Barryton Amy (Robert) Jewell of Saginaw Four brothers: Ken (Barbie), Bill, Rich (Dianne) and Roger, ten grandchildren, six step grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her dear cousin Wilma Bassett. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will take place 1:00 PM on Friday, October 31, 2008 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with visitation one hour prior. Memorial donations can be left at the funeral home for the family.
