Daniel G. Spiker, age 69 of Stanwood, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020. He was born December 19, 1950, in Tawas City, the son of Earl and Grace (Pringle) Spiker.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 51 years, Katheryn Spiker of Stanwood; two daughters, Amy (Brian) Near of Morley and Tracy (Chris) Fruytier of Commerce Township; three grandchildren, CJ (Stephanie) LeTourneau, Corey Near, and Colton Fruytier; two great-grandchildren, Kylie and Camden LeTourneau; three brothers, Kenneth (Diana) Spiker of Scottsdale, Arizona, Ronald (Sandy) Spiker of Phoenix, Arizona, and Donald Spiker of Big Rapids; three sisters-in-law, Diann Jacobs, Cheryl (Jim) Schlink, Charlene (Greg) Schmidt; and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father- in-law Charles and Arlene Daniels, and brother-in-law Dennis "Jake" Jacobs.
Dan was a lifelong Detroit Lions fan and an avid coin collector.
Due to the nationwide pandemic, memorial services will be planned for a later date.
Cremation and care entrusted to the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
