Daniel G. Ruby III, age 82, of Mecosta, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 in Three Rivers. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 4, 1937 to Daniel and Elsie (Robinson) Ruby II. Dan married Madonna Rogoski on August 26, 1983 in St. Johns, MI. They resided in DeWitt until 1999 when they made their home at Tubbs Lake. Dan retired from General Motors and was a former school bus driver at Chippewa Hills High School. Dan was an avid fisherman and hunter. He and Madonna enjoyed many salmon fishing trips together. One of Dans happiest days was his baptism and becoming a member of the Catholic Church. He was a strong man who persevered through many of lifes obstacles. Dan is survived by: his wife of 35 years, Madonna; three sons, James (Ruth) of OR, Shane (Claudia) of FL and Larry (Valerie) of MI; four step-children, Stephen (JoEllen) Karas, Cindy (Bob) Deeleuw, Monica (Kerry) Martin and Jacqueline (Kevin) Heniser; one sister, Terri Radcliff and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and beloved friends. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Toni Schmit. A mass of resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus with Fr. Tom Boufford as celebrant.
