Daniel Allen Freiberg age 34 of Big Rapids, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. He was born on December 6, 1976 in Big Rapids to Robert and Roxann (Cooley) Freiberg. Daniel graduated from Port Huron High School in 1995. He made his home in Port Huron until moving to the Rodney area in 2000. Daniel had been employed by K-Mart and Auto Zone before becoming a machinist at Federal Screw all in Big Rapids. Daniel was enthusiastic about fishing and his snowmobile. He enjoyed bow hunting, rifle hunting and motor sports. Daniel felt like he was at home welding and wrenching on automobiles. His personality and charm will not soon be forgotten by his family and friends. Daniel is survived by his loving family: his mother Roxann (Howard II) Perron of Port Huron; his father Robert (Konnie Moore) Freiberg of Big Rapids/Rodney; his beloved sister, Susan (Fianc Wayne Tacey) Freiberg of Stanwood; two brothers Robert (Fiance Amber Beatty) of Port Huron and Michael (Fiance Ashley Richardson) of Jedo; step grandparents Howard and Blanche Perron of Big Rapids; two Nieces Amanda and Kendell; four Nephews Anthony, Cody, Ethan and Lucas, and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Daniel was preceded in death by his grandparents and an infant brother Tommy Freiberg. The family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2011 at the Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior.
