Dallas Glen Bishop, age 20, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at his home in Big Rapids. He was just shy of his 21st birthday which he hoped he could celebrate with his parents, Carol (Jody Randall) Batchelder; three sisters, Tiffany (Matthew) Maczynski, Brittany (Josh Blackmer) Smith and Kirstin (Jason) Hanford; beloved nephew, Kyrian and his best buddy, his dog, Duke. Dallas was born on May 23, 1995 in Cadillac. He was extremely well rounded, stubborn and had a warrior spirit. He found inspiration in the Marvel DC characters and could retain trivial information which he didnt hesitate to share. For having a debilitating disease Dallas didnt let it dampen his spirits. He was home schooled and was looking forward to ending his senior year with his teacher and friend Emily. Dallas will also be deeply missed by his step-grandmother Bea Batchelder; a niece, Elysia Maczynski, who is yet to be born; and numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. Dallas was preceded in death by his dad, Cevin Bishop and maternal grandparents, Lester Batchelder and Joyce Spencer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dallas name can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. A memorial service for Dallas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
