Dale E. Sanger, age 85, of Lake, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at his home. He was born in Barryton on May 26, 1928 to Benjamin and Beatrice (Dickinson) Sanger. Dale was honorably discharged from the United States Army as a Corporal during the Korean War. On August 5, 1967 he married Ellen A. Lindsey (Dow) in Barryton and they made their home in Barryton before moving to Evart. Dale will be remembered by most as "Uncle Dale" . The majority of his life he was a lumberjack. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and farming. Dale is survived by, one son George Lindsey and Diana of Farwell and four daughters; Ann Sedell of Lake, Nancie (Jim) Gilliland of Springfield, Missouri, Marcia (Brad) Scarbrough of Marion, Rhonda (Mike) Stepp of Barryton; twelve grandchildren, Lee (Diane) Burgess, Mae (Mike) Councilor, Lori (Tom) Lusk, Annette Burgess, Rob (Shannon) Riffe, Val (Micky) Wilkerson, Misty Bancroft, Ian (Marielle) Stanley, Brandy (Rick) Langworthy, Justin (Sally) Cavendar, Ryan Stepp and Rebecca Stepp; twenty-five great grandchildren, one brother, Glen Sanger of Sanford and numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Ellen in 2009 and one brother, Lance Sanger. Funeral services for Dale will take place 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with Pastor Tom Doherty officiating. Interment will follow at Brown Cemetery in Barryton. The family will greet friends Sunday, October 20th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Daggett Funeral Home.
