Crystal A. Esser-Flowers, age 31 of Morley, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 7, 2016 at her home. She was born March 11, 1984 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of James and Penny (Huey) Esser. Crystal graduated from the MOISD in 2002. She enjoyed drawing and sketching. Crystal was always helping people and animals; she made any animal her pet. She loved her family and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Crystal is survived by her husband, Michael Flowers of Morley; two sons, Zander Hudson-Flowers and Zachary Hiler-Flowers both of Morley; parents, Jim and Penny Esser of Morley; two siblings, Michael Esser of Morley and Tanya (Joshua) Velting of Stanwood; several nieces and nephews; grandparents, Wayne and Shirley Huey of Big Rapids and John and Barb Esser of Wyoming, MI; best friend, Marie Palm of Morley; as well as many extended family and friends. A memorial service will take place 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Bruce Peterson officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Crystals name to help take care of her children.
