Obituary

Creana Kay Foster (Cole) , 64, of Big Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Born on August 19, 1960, in Reed City, she was the beloved daughter of Donald Cole and Donna Phelps. Creana dedicated over 20 years to serving the community through her role at the Big Rapids Health Department before retiring in 2009. Her passions included shopping, cooking for friends and family, and designing her nail art which she called her therapy. She was known for her laughter, sharp sense of humor, and a heart that knew no bounds. Creana was a devoted and loving mother, daughter, sister, friend, and especially grandma. Her family and friends were her world, and she sacrificially gave of herself to everyone around her. Her cats Peaches and Nila were her beloved and very spoiled fury babies. She is survived by her children, Katie (Tom) Cornell and Steven Ladner; her cherished grandchildren, Charlotte, Kristin, and Jared Cornell; her mother, Donna Switzer; and her siblings, Don (Lisa) Cole, Kenneth (Heather) Cole, Scott (April) Cole, Cindy (Mike) Stoops, and Matthew Cole. Creanas special Aunt Luanne DeVries and many nieces and nephews. Creana was preceded in death by her grandson, Kayden Michael Cornell, Father Donald Cole, and her best friend, Roger Ladner. A celebration of Creanas life will be held on September 28th, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Howard City Michigan, Her family and friends are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this time.
