Corinna May Belden age 85 of Barryton passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010 at the Skilled Nursing Facility in Reed City. She was born on March 3, 1925 in Chippewa Twp., Mecosta Co., MI to Royal and Laura (Denniston) Hooker. On April 14, 1941 she married George B. Belden in Barryton where they made their home and raised their family. Corinna worked for Evart Products for 25 years as an assembler and inspector. Corinna attended the Remus Church of God and enjoyed socializing with the Barryton Red Hatters, sewing quilts, knitting, beadwork and making crafts when she was able. Corinna was known for being feisty and loved a good argument. Corinna is survived by her daughter, Patricia Jean Dumas of Barryton, son, Steven (Susan) Belden of Lauderdale, Miss., daughter-in-law, Beverly Belden of Reed City, brother, Charles Hooker of Sanford, two sisters; Florence Eaton of Evart, Josephine Kitelinger of Reed City, she is the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Corinna was preceded in death by her husband George on Jan. 31, 2001, son George on Dec. 3, 2004, brother, Floyd Hooker and her sister, Inez Bushee. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home.
