Connie L. Keeton, age 69 of Chippewa Lake, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, April 10, 2019. She was born February 15, 1950 in Lansing the daughter of Owen and Edna (Estes) Keeton. Connie moved to Chippewa Lake over 35 years ago. She was employed as a press operator at Big Rapids Products for 17 years. Connie was a gifted gardener, growing beautiful flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed traveling, especially exploring caves and caverns. She was a talented crafter and known to have a booth at several local craft shows. Connie will be remembered as a kind and caring person and forever missed by many, including her loving companion of over 35 years, Stan Freelan of Chippewa Lake; her daughter, Jennifer Keeton of Lansing; two grandchildren, Brooke and Jordy; a sister Lora J. Keeton of Haslett and beloved niece, Wendy Smith of Salem, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, James E. Smith. Funeral services will take place 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Kaye Ferguson-Patton officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until services at 2:00 p.m. Connie will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens on 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2019.
