Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Connie Joanne (Dove) Balowski, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 in Big Rapids at the age of 62. Connie was born in Coldwater, MI on January 10, 1956 to Dale and Phyllis (Waldron) Dove. She married Joseph Balowski on July 1st 1977 at River Bend Park in Union City, MI where they made their home and raised their family.

Connie was strong willed and determined. She was an accomplished photographer, artist, painter and writer, who loved writing childrens stories. She enjoyed the warm weather, being outside and gardening. She loved taking pictures and painting images of nature.

If you knew Connie you knew she didnt like the city. Connie and Joe moved to Lake in 1999 to start a new chapter in their lives. In 2010 they made their home in Evart where they have resided ever since. Connie had several jobs throughout her life but loved being a stay at home mom and going over the road trucking with Joe the best.

Her feistiness and fierce love of her family will not be forgotten by her husband, Joe; two sons, Shawn Balowski and Chad and his wife Sarah Balowski. Her grandchildren, Donovan, Lisa, Sophie and Lucas will continue to hold the memories of their grandmother close to their hearts. Connie is also survived by two sisters, Janene Dove and Cindy Peavey; one brother, Jim Dove and close friends, Kim and Dan Posante, Al Martenies, Charlie and Lucinda Bernotas, Richard and Irene Balowski, and Todd and Anita Jajo.

It was Connies wish for cremation to take place. Her family said their final farewells on Saturday, April 21st at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Those wishing to send a monetary donation in Connies name, may do so, to the American Cancer Society, for cancer research.
