Cliften "Clif" E. Beutler age 64 of Coldwater Twp., Lake, Michigan passed away, Wednesday, February 2, 2011 with the comfort of his loving family at home. Clif was born in Clare, MI on January 31, 1947 to Clayton and Fern (St. John) Beutler. He graduated from Weidman Community School in 1965. Clif was drafted into the United States Army and was honorably discharged after serving in Korea during the Vietnam War. On June 26, 1971 Clif married Maxine Willson in Caro, MI. In the early 1980's Clif purchased his grandparent's home where he and Max raised their family. He worked for GTE for 30 years before retiring in 1998. Clif was a fun, family man who always had a smart comment for everything. He enjoyed being with friends, visiting his brother Fred, trips up to his sister Mary's place in Ludington and always enjoyed harness racing with his good friend Jim VanSyckle. Clif's infectious personality and sense of humor leave priceless memories for his family and friends to treasure. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Max and two daughters Milissa (Darrell) Block of Grandville and Christina Beutler of Lake; four grandchildren, Gavin and Quinn, Taylor and Jacob; a brother Fred, a sister Mary and many aunts, nieces, nephews and friends. Clif was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1PM Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with the family greeting friends two hours prior from 11AM till 1PM. Pastor David Price will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
