Cindy Sue Stanley age 52 of Barryton, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2011. She was born on September 16, 1959 in Lakeview, MI to Richard and Helen (Cushman) Ruthruff. Cindy graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in 1977. Cindy raised her sons in Barryton and enjoyed working for the Chippewa Hills School District as a teacher's aide. Cindy looked forward to traveling with her sons when they were younger to archery tournaments and enjoyed their friends. She loved concerts and had wonderful memories of a trip to Mexico with some very special friends. Cindy is survived by two loving sons Kyle and Travis Stanley, beloved grandchildren Haylee Mae and Abby Grace, Brynlee McKenzie who knew her as grandmother; her adoring father Richard (Betty) Ruthruff of LeRoy; stepbrothers Don (Deb) Knapp, Steve (Sharon) Knapp of Reed City, Jim Knapp of Cadillac; stepsisters Chris (Kim) Johnson of Tustin and Sue Holmes of LeRoy, daughter at heart Holly Olmstead, aunt and uncle Don (Donna) Cushman who have offered love and support throughout the years, her dog Nelly and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and beloved friends who will continue to treasure the memories they hold. Cindy was preceded in death by her mother Helen Ruthruff, sisters Teresa and Kathy Ruthruff; grandparents Fred (Orpha) Ruthruff and Henry (Tillie) Cushman; a niece Summer Johnson, a nephew Jason Knapp and aunts Norma and Ann. The family will greet friends 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10th at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 11th at the funeral home with the family greeting friends one hour prior. Pastor Jodie Flessner will be officiating. Memorial donations in Cindy's name can be made to the Kidney Foundation.
