It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Henry Finch, 74, of Remus, Michigan. After a long illness, Chuck passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alma, Michigan.

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 23, 1951, Chuck graduated from Kent City High School in 1969. After graduation, he proudly served in the United States Air Force, serving for some time in Guam. He then returned home and worked several jobs at Yamaha, Middleton Music, and Hayworth. Chuck's love was music. For many years, he and his friends played in the band "Northern Lights," in addition to playing in other bands. With a busy life, Chuck's favorite pastime was riding his motorcycle.

Chuck is survived by his daughter, Amy Finch Lima of Kent City; stepdaughters: Siboney Manchester of Okemos and Angela Manchester of Reed City; sister-in-law Georgia Finch of Tennessee; as well as grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends whom he called family.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Charles H. Finch and Ruth Soper (Osburn, Finch); step-father: Arthur Soper; brother: Thomas Finch; several half-siblings; and his wife of 26 years: Lisa Finch (Mansfield).

Arrangements are in the care of Daggett Gilbert Funeral Homes, Big Rapids. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 9:30 AM, with the funeral taking place at 11:00 AM. Chuck will be laid to rest next to Lisa at West Cemetery in Big Rapids. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chuck's name to an organization of the donor's choice.
