Cheryl L Gaither, age 66 of Mecosta, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013. She was born April 17, 1946 in Big Rapids, the daughter of John and Mae (Long) Ellison. Cheryl married Wm. Jerry Gaither and together they made their home in Carrollton, Georgia for many years. Jerry passed away on November 19, 1999; following his death, Cheryl moved to Mecosta to be near her parents. Cheryl is survived by her beloved son, Dean (Alicia) Gaither of Mecosta; a sister, Sandra (Manuel) Rodriguez of Mesa, Arizona; a brother, Duane (Patricia) Ellison of Holly, MI; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jerry. A graveside memorial service is being planned to take June 5, 2013 at Pine Plains Cemetery in Big Rapids.
