Charlotte Anne Bargy, age 64 formerly of Holt, peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in Big Rapids. She was full of energy and life. She was strong willed and fought a good fight. She was a compassionate, caring, loving wife and mother. Charlotte was dependable and always there to help and care for others.

Charlotte was born on July 1, 1952 in Kansas City, MO. She was the only child of the late Norman and Elizabeth (Simons) VanHooven. Charlotte was raised in Grand Rapids and graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in 1970. She received a Bachelors in Social Work from MSU and while in college met her future husband. On December 15, 1973 she married Wayne E. Bargy in Grand Rapids and they made their home and raised their daughter Diana in Holt. She earned her associates in accounting and worked for Meridian Township for 22 years. After spending many weekends at Canadian Lakes through the years, they moved up there permanently in September of 2016.

Charlotte was an avid reader, loved Lake Michigan, looked forward to spending time on the boat in the summers, enjoyed watching HGTV as well as decorating and doing projects around the house.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Wayne; daughter, Diana and her husband Jack Treloar of Holt; as well as her two Grand-Beagles, Molly and Brady.

Come celebrate her life on her birthday at 2:00 p.m., July 1, 2017 hosted by Diana, at the home of Wayne and Charlotte, 10663 Thornapple Dr., Stanwood, MI, 49346. (Located in Canadian Lakes).
