Charles "Chuck" Lee Woodbury, age 60, of Barryton passed away Friday, January 29, 2010 at his home. He was born on August 3, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, MI to Harry and Shirley (Ralston) Woodbury. Chuck graduated from Blissfield High School. In 1971 Chuck married Ruthann Evernham in Melbourne, PA. He was retired from the United States Navy and served in Desert Storm. Chuck was a member of the D.A.V in Lake- Wilson-Blackmar Chapter 105, the Farwell American Legion Post 558 and North American Fishing Club. He was just shy of retiring as a forklift operator from Martinrea in Clare when the automotive plant closed. Chuck enjoyed hunting, boating, fishing and golfing. He was a true outdoorsman. Chuck is survived by his beloved "Ruthie" , one son; Rob (Jennifer) of Lake, 6 siblings: Bonnie (Paul) Sanders of Weidman, Vickie Woodbury of Mt. Pleasant, Betty (Roger) Freeze of Shepherd, Susan (Daryle) Noss of Birch Run, Steve (Cindy) Woodbury of Rossford, OH, Connie (Jim) Levline of Midland, 3 grandchildren; David Rush of Reed City, Chasity Haight and Devin Woodbury of Lake and many nieces, nephews and close friends. The family will greet friends today (Monday) from 2PM "" 4PM and 6PM "" 8PM and two hours prior from 10AM "" Noon on Tuesday at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Funeral services for Chuck will be held at 12:00 (noon) on Tuesday, February 2nd at the Daggett Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Doherty officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Flake Cemetery. Memorial donations in Chuck's name can be made to the D.A.V in Lake.
