Charles J. "Jack" Stockwell Jr., age 61 of Chippewa Lake passed away Sunday October 9, 2016 at Spectrum Butterworth in Grand Rapids. He was born February 5, 1955 in Big Rapids the son of Charles "Jack" and Glenadine M. (Millett) Stockwell Sr. Jack was a lifelong resident of Chippewa Lake and attended Chippewa Hills High School. He worked for his father at the sawmill in Chippewa Lake and later was employed by Gibsons in Greenville. Jack married Debra L. Champod on May 14, 1982. He is survived by his wife of over 34 years, Debbie; two daughters, Jessie Stockwell and Misty Osborn; three sisters, Karen (Lee) Eschenweck of Montrose, Leanne (Bob) Bodbyl of Grand Rapids, Deana (Roger Miller) Stockwell of Cadillac; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, as sister, Sharlene Loll and a niece, Linda Loll Christensen. Services are being planned for a later date. Memorial contributions in Jacks memory may be left at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids where arrangements were made.
