Charles E. Ouellette, age 68 of Morley, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020. He was born March 14, 1952 in Detroit the son of Clifford and Mary (Fournier) Ouellette. Charles married Margarett Pitt on March 16, 1974 in Farmington Hills. They made their home in Redford Township until moving to Morley where they have lived for over 30 years. Charles was a member of the Sons of American Legion Morley post # 554 where he enjoyed singing karaoke and was affectionately known as "Chuckles". He was also a long-time member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Howard City. Charles is survived by his beloved wife Margarett Ouellette of Morley; four children Clifford (Dana) Ouellette of Big Rapids, Alexandra (Douglas) Barnes of Stanwood, Charles (Karen) Ouellette of Grand Rapids, Jonathan (Layne) Ouellette of Big Rapids; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren with one on the way shortly; sisters, Elaine Ouellette of Grand Blanc, Nadeen Ouellette of Livonia; brothers, Paul (Mary) Ouellette of Roscommon, Timothy (Jan) Ouellette of Milford, Michael (Debbie) Ouellette of Hartland, Frank (Lynne) Ouellette of Holly; many nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his parents-in-law; Alexander and Margarett Pitt. On Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids, the family will greet friends while following the government guidelines, please social distance and wear a mask; 20 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. with only family inside the funeral home. A radio broadcast will be provided so additional guests attending may listen to the funeral, in the parking lot from the safety of their automobiles.
