Charles M. "Chuck" Brantman, age 65 of Stanwood, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017. He was born May 26, 1952 in Muskegon the son of Lloyd F. and Betty Jean (Nelson) Brantman. Chuck graduated from Reed City High School in 1972. He married Earlaine K. Hoffman on August 5, 1972 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Reed City. Chuck was honorably discharged from the United States Army National Guard following eight years of service. Earlaine and Chuck lived and raised their family in the Stanwood Area. He was employed as a custodian by Ferris State University, retiring after 24 years. Chuck and Earlaine truly enjoyed their life together, especially boating and motorcycling throughout the 48 contiguous states. He is survived by his two daughters, Jamie Brantman of Big Rapids, Dustie and her husband Tony Kropf and Chucks granddaughter, Kaiya Kropf all of Rockford; sister, Janel (Darwin) Eichenberg of Reed City; several nieces and nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Earlaine on August 9, 2016. Chuck had been living with a broken heart since the loss of Earlaine; his friends and family can take comfort in the fact they are now together forever. There will be no public services.
