Cathleen M. Groza, age 58 of Big Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 20, 2008 in Big Rapids. She was born January 16, 1950 in Highland Park to Theodore and Annie (Ocolisan) Groza. Cathy moved to Canada as a child. She returned to Michigan and graduated from Frazier High School. She moved to Big Rapids to attend Ferris State University where she earned bachelor degrees in both Math and Science. After graduation Cathy began her career at Wolverine World Wide where she had been employed for 36 years. She is survived by her loving family including; Her mother Annie Groza of Big Rapids Sister; Linda (Randy Beguhn) Groza of Royal Oak Aunts and Uncles; Polly Banwell of the Detroit area and Teddy and Florence "Nani" Stoini of Cincinnati, OH. Funeral services will take place 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2008 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with the family greeting friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
