Catherine Patricia "Patty" Anderson, age 82, died Saturday, August 13, 2022 in Grand Rapids. She was born November 27, 1939 in Owosso, the daughter of Frank and Edna (Meyer) Smalley. Patty kept busy with the farm that she and her husband Carl called home. Her work did not stop there, as she would also help Carl pour foundations and other cement work for his business. Pattys dedication to hard work was an inspiration to others around her. She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Patty was an avid outdoorsman. She loved to fish and hunt for deer every fall with Carl. Patty had many different hobbies to keep her busy. She liked playing board games and cards, canning different vegetables from her garden, and going to the casino with family and friends. Patty was a wonderful cook and enjoyed laughing and spending time with her family. She was a great wife, mother, grandma, and friend who will be missed by many. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Carl Anderson of Barryton formally Lennon, MI; daughters, Shelley (John) Anderson of Swartz Creek, Laurie (John) Stuart of Lake; grandchildren, Kyle (Abby) Stuart, Katelyn (Rylan Schneider) Stuart; many nieces and nephews. Patty was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret, Rose, Helen, and Lucille; brothers, Walt, Frank, Edward, and Donald.
