Carolyn R. Weimer, age 74 of Barryton, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at her home. She was born July 2, 1939 in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Cloyce and Doris (Hoffman) Miller. Carolyn graduated in 1958 from Barryton Rural Agricultural High School. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Evart. Carolyn enjoyed traveling, hunting, gardening, dulcimer and playing music. She was a rabid Michigan State University Football and Basketball fan. Carolyn loved her children and grandchildren; she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Cliff Weimer; her children, Cindy (Bryan) Hayward, Kenneth Keith, Sally (Clint) Giles, Daniel Cross, Barbara Cross, David (Theresa) Cross, Kathy Keith, Lynn (Jennifer) Keith; a daughter-in-law, Sue Cross; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; her mother, Doris Ervin; a brother, Carl (Jo) Miller; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; her first husband, Lynn Harold Keith I; and her son, Duane Cross. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with Elder Ruth Mowat officiating. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17th at the funeral home.
