Carol A. Jack, age 65, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 7, 1958 in Ithaca, the daughter of Verl and Mary (Vincent) Ruthruff. Carol married Leonard Jack on January 7, 1994, with whom she spent the rest of her years. Carol worked for Lutheran Home Services for many years as a care aide. She took pride in caring for and making connections with her patients. In her free time, Carol loved playing penny slots at the casino, bingo, and joining both her husband and friends for lunch. She also cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Leonard of Morley; four children, Ammie Hayes of Midland, Tonya (Jeremiah) Bowman of Big Rapids, Todd Solmonson of Lakeview, Amanda (Hanna Armit) Jack of Morley; sister, Charlene Arndt of Croton; sister-in-law, Shelia Meir; many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; as well as several dogs and cats. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ralph Meir. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help pay for funeral expenses. Funeral services for Carol will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Carol will be laid to rest at Aetna Township Cemetery.
