Carl C. Myers, age 77, of Lake (Barryton) passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Spectrum Health Blodgett Campus, in Grand Rapids. Carl was born on August 3, 1935 in Saginaw County, MI to Glen and Ida (Fall) Myers. On July 17, 1965 he married Gladys Brininstool in Evart and they have made their home in the Barryton area for the last 44 years. Carl was an outdoorsman at heart and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his family and family gatherings. Carl is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years Gladys; two sons, Christopher (Cheryl) Myers of Mecosta and Kelly (Stacy) Myers of Lake; two daughters, Carolyn (Rich) Spires of Morley and Kathryn Myers of Lake; son at heart Ronnie (Linda) Myers of Sears; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters and 1 brother. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, a granddaughter, and two infant children. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10th at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the funeral home.
