Carl W. Moore, age 68 of Morley passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010. He was born April 7, 1941 in Mancelona the son of Benjamin and Eula (Fredrick) Moore. Carl lived the majority of his life in Mecosta County. He had worked several different jobs including the sexton for over 30 area cemeteries; he had been a dairy farmer and worked construction in Grand Rapids. He is survived by his wife Ruth of Rodney, 3 sons, Rick Moore of Rodney, Jerry (Sheryl) Moore of Stanwood, Carl "Junior" Moore of Rodney, a granddaughter, Melanie Moore of Stanwood; his mother, Eula Moore of Stanwood; four brothers Charles Moore of Morley, Duane (Jan) Moore of Stanwood, Fred (Reta) Moore of Morley, Dale (Pam) Moore of Edmore; 3 sisters, Joyce (Ned) Coulson of Lakeview, Shirley Moore and Mary (Robert) Parker all of Stanwood and many nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his father, Ben Moore and 2 granddaughters. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 2rd at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Elder Dan Coulson officiating. Private burial will be at Higbee Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Monday, March 1st at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
