Carl Raymond Harrington, age 91 of Barryton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 16, 2019 in Remus. He was born on June 25, 1927 in Riverdale, MI, the son of Arthur Leroy and Myrta Amanda (Erskin) Harrington. Carl was honorably discharged from the United State Navy and served during WWII. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Carl was genuine, loving, stubborn as a mule and an amazing story teller. He was generous and he was a loving husband and father. Carl is survived by the love of his life, Cecilia Harrington of Barryton who feels blessed to have Carl as a husband for fourteen years; his daughter, Linda (Alex) Martinez of Charlotte; a stepson, Bob (Rose) Guynn; two sisters, Betty Marsh and Leona Harrington; eleven grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren; a beloved niece, Christine (Robert) Horton; dear friends, Don and Jane Phelps and numerous extended family, nieces, nephews and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Myrta; his wife Annie; a son, James Harrington; a grandson, Carl Shephard and five siblings, Leland Schneider, Reva Stoneham, Arthur Harrington, Allen Harrington, Myrtie Harrington. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on, Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at the Wheatland Church of Christ, (Corner of M66 and 11 Mile Road), where he has been a member the last ten years. Memorial contributions may be made in Carl's name to Wheatland Church of Christ.
