Calen James Page, age 15 months of Big Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Mecosta County Medical Center as a result of complications from Kawasaki's Disease. He was born February 16, 2008 in Big Rapids to James and Jennifer (Freiberg) Page. In his short time with us, Calen touched many hearts and gave us countless gifts of memories we will treasure forever. We will always remember his wonderful giggle and enjoyment of being outside with family, taking walks with Grandpa, playing with balls and eating strawberries. He was adored by his brother and sister who spent countless hours playing with him. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew him. Calen is survived by his loving parents, James and Jennifer Page, his brother Blake and sister Nadine all of Big Rapids. Paternal grandparents, James and Patty Page of Hersey; Maternal Grandparents, Thomas Sr. and Starr Freiberg of Big Rapids; Aunts and Uncles, Laura (Eric) Clos of Evart, Kathy (Steve) Lindeman of Bear Lake, Angela (Chuck) Drake of Big Rapids, Brian (Dena) Freiberg of Big Rapids, Thomas Jr. (Wendy) Freiberg of Stanwood, Susan (Jimmy) Thomas of Texas, Barbara (Warren) Wright of Arizona, Scott (Elizabeth) Freiberg of Virginia and many beloved cousins, dear friends and his beloved dog, Willie. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Rev. John Wark officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
